Chantelle Lighting
Brief
Design and develop a new brand identity for a local lighting company and consistently deliver branded content across a range of media on a monthly basis.
Design and develop a new brand identity for a local lighting company and consistently deliver branded content across a range of media on a monthly basis.
Solution
I carried out research into competing lighting and furniture brands, analysing their visual identities and marketing materials to understand how they connect with their target audiences. Using these insights, I created a distinctive and cohesive brand style that positioned the company as modern, professional, and design-led.

Outcome
A comprehensive brand rollout including logo design and branding, exhibition graphics, email campaigns (e-shots), social media graphics, vehicle branding, newsletters, newspaper advertisements, and event merchandise. I also liaised with photographers to plan and manage photoshoots, ensuring the lighting products were presented in a visually strong and on-brand way.

Design a lighting brochure aimed at hotel and restaurant owners, showcasing the company’s lighting solutions and inspiring purchases.
Design a lighting brochure aimed at hotel and restaurant owners, showcasing the company’s lighting solutions and inspiring purchases.
Solution
For this project, I developed a 12-page A4 landscape brochure focused on hotel and restaurant lighting. The key challenge was creating page layouts that showcased the photography effectively — selecting the best images and arranging them so they stood out as large, eye-catching visuals. I also determined the most impactful photo placements to ensure the brochure felt premium, inspirational, and easy to navigate.

Problem & Resolution
The client initially wanted to include all product images, but there wasn’t enough space for everything. To resolve this, I recommended selecting a curated set of the strongest images for each lighting project, ensuring the brochure remained visually clean, premium, and easy to digest.

I started by sketching multiple layout concepts to explore how text and imagery could be arranged effectively. This allowed me to quickly test composition ideas and determine the strongest page structure before working digitally.
Van Graphics
Designed the Chantelle company van, featuring bold, high-impact lighting photography across the side panels to create a strong and memorable brand presence on the road.
Newspaper
Brief
Design a seasonal newspaper for Chantelle that showcases the latest trends, stories, and product updates. The client wanted the images to be bold and large, making them the main visual statement. I began the process by sketching page layouts to demonstrate how the design could work within an 8–16 page newspaper format. The finished newspapers were distributed to customers by post.

Overview
If I were to redo this project, I would consider creating it as a digital flipbook or a mobile app, allowing users to swipe through the pages for a more interactive and modern experience.

Full Company Overview (Future improvements)
If I were to revisit this project, I would refresh the company’s website and introduce online product sales to improve accessibility and customer convenience. I would also develop a companion app where customers can create mood boards, helping them visualise how different fittings and elements work together in a space.
